The Forum North Trust is a group of passionate civic-minded people committed to provide Whangārei a redesigned Community Performing Arts and Events Centre at Forum North including a new large lyric theatre, inclusive programming, educational opportunities and productions and events of the highest standard. 

In conjunction with the current facilities at Forum North, the new Community Performing Arts and Events Centre will enhance Whangārei’s artistic and cultural identity and will greatly benefit the Central Business District, the local and regional economy and become a venue to attract performances of any scale and events of every nature.

With Whangārei District Council (WDC) moving into the new Civic Building in 2022 and with no decision regarding the existing site once vacant, NOW is the right time for Whangārei to prioritise this vital community project for future generations.

With WDC’s acknowledgement that the Whangārei community has been culturally starved for decades due to insufficient expenditure on Performing Arts facilities, NOW is the right time for you to show your support.
